Choose the island before the ticket
Zanzibar Airports Authority operates Abeid Amani Karume International Airport on Unguja and a separate airport on Pemba. Check the island named in your accommodation booking. If your holiday includes both, coordinate the inter-island journey and its baggage rules before committing to the UK flights.
Book the transfer to the actual property
A city address and a beach resort elsewhere on Unguja need different pickup arrangements. Send the property name, location and flight details to the provider. Confirm your airline's terminal and meeting point; flydubai's published guidance lists Terminal 3 for its own Zanzibar flights.

Tanzania's FCDO entry page has a separate Zanzibar section covering visitor insurance requirements. Check the current official instructions for your circumstances as well as passport and visa rules. If arriving through mainland Tanzania, include the domestic sector or ferry and local arrival date in your planning.
Questions and answers
Does ZNZ serve Pemba Island?
No. ZNZ is on Unguja. Pemba has its own airport, so a Pemba stay needs a separately considered onward journey. Confirm the island on your hotel booking before requesting flights.
Can I combine Zanzibar with Dar es Salaam?
Yes, ask us to check flights around both stays. Tell us whether you intend to travel between them by air or independently, and leave room for separate check-in and luggage arrangements.
Do all flights use Zanzibar Terminal 3?
Do not apply one airline's terminal information to every flight. Check each operating airline's instructions, especially when combining international and domestic bookings, and reconfirm the pickup or departure terminal before travelling.
