Entebbe and Kampala need different transfer plans. Uganda's airport authority notes busy road traffic at morning and evening peaks. Give your driver the accommodation address, passenger count and luggage details, and leave flexibility between landing and your first commitment in Kampala.
Agree an outside meeting point
The FCDO says people meeting passengers at Entebbe must wait outside the terminal. Share your flight number and a clear meeting point before travelling. Allow time for arrival formalities and baggage, and keep your driver's contact details available without relying entirely on airport internet.
Check the whole Uganda itinerary
Review current FCDO entry guidance and the Ugandan authorities' rules for your passport. Include any transit countries and regional border crossings in that check. If continuing by a smaller aircraft, confirm its departure airfield, luggage limits and check-in arrangements before choosing the international flight.

Is Entebbe airport in Kampala?
No. EBB serves Entebbe, with a separate road journey to Kampala. Use your final address when arranging transport; a generic city transfer may not match where your family or hotel is located.
Can my family meet me inside arrivals?
Current FCDO guidance says only ticketed passengers can enter the terminal building. Arrange to meet outside and agree how to contact each other if your flight or baggage is delayed.
What should I send for an Entebbe flight quote?
